Commodore's Comments
By Amy Crowson
What great weather we have been having; anyone who attended the Smith
Regatta can attest to that statement. This years Smith was fantastic
with great weather, sailing, as well as the usual festivities. Let’s
take our hats off to all those folks who made this a wonderful event.
Beach
The beach is looking better and better. The past commodore’s lounge
is finally finished and plans are in the works to get electricity, water,
and Windy down at our end of the beach. The chase has been painted and
work is being done to set up storage shelves and racks for our equipment.
Thank you to everyone who has helped to get us where we are today. There
will more works days to get the beach exactly how we would like it,
so if you haven’t had a chance to help there will plenty of other
opportunities.
Lessons
Lessons will begin the 19th of this month. We are looking forward to
lessons this year as the equipment will soon be stored at the beach,
making it easier to set up. If you know anyone who wants to learn please
have them call or email Lee
C. to sign up. See the lessons page
on the web site. Also, of you can teach please let Lee know.
Nimby
Believe it or not the Nimby is just around the corner. As most of you
know, it will be held in Port St. Joe this year. The race location and
marina near by are beautiful. Check out the Nimby
web page for more detail.
