HI ALL,

The year moves on as we begin our journey down to the “Second Annual Last Trip” to Fiesta Key. It is rumored to be a big group and lots of fun. Check out Perry and Wright’s article for updated details. And for those of you who are going check out Digger’s Dribbles for some useful information about those pesky urchins and marine kin.

Family Dinner Planned
As this trip looks to be the true grand finale, of Fiesta Key camping, the club is planning a Family Dinner/Fiesta Key Remembrance to be held at the next club meeting. Perry will put together a picture show of the event from photos of those who attend. Hopefully we will be able to share the fun with those we missed and give us all a laugh at the great times we have had at Fiesta Key. Dinner and the fun will begin early, 6:30 to accommodate the kids (who eat free on Tuesday night at Beef O’s). Hope to see you there, especially those we have not seen in a while.

Lessons Equipment
At the end of January several of us gathered at Linda Downey’s to assess the shape of the club lesson’s equipment. As many of you who have taught lessons know…We need some small sails. Lee and Leah Chapin have donated a 5”? sail and Wright will be looking for a 4.6” or 4.7” on his journey down to the keys. Of course the club will be happy to accept the donation of a small suitable sail in the pursuit of bringing new people to the sport. Thanks to everyone who helped with the assessment and clean up.

Wind Ceremony
The Spring Equinox brings on our annual Wind Ceremony. This year the club is hosting a Pasta Dish Competition for the dinner. Pasta is the only rule so plan your dish and get ready for the fun. Mark your calendar for March 24th and bring your wind wish stick. More information will be coming soon to the SPSC web page.

FYI
Deb has added a SPSC calendar to the web site. Check it out and put SPSC events on your calendar. Also, if you have somehow been disconnected from the SPSC Yahoo Group you can now easily be reconnected by emailing the group facilitator from our web page. One final note, the new bathroom facility at the beach is fabulous; No Howdy’s for the Wind Ceremony.
