I’ve decided to put the Agendas in this segment of the news letter I may change it later if it’s a problem. If those of you who have the means to print them out would do so I would certainly appreciate it since about 1/3 of the copies is left on the table when we’re done, I just don’t see the sense in copying them. So with that all said here is the agenda for the April 11th meeting.
1. Introduction of guest and new members |
Man there’s a lot going on, what with the Steven C. Smith Regatta Just a couple of weeks away. The new pavilion being built as I write, And all the changes that are coming for the Shell Point area in general. Heck I got all caught up in the excitement and got myself a new e-mail address too. For those who care it is denmark@20knotsnob.com. So drop a note just so I know it’s working.
How about the Wind Ceremony huh? The look was a little different with no Old Coast Guard Auxiliary Station. (That’s way too long. I’ll refer to it as the CH.) and Swami and crew facing the Gulf. But the feel was the same with the bon fire the music the dancing the clubbers the Shell Pointers, the Wakullians, the outta towners, and even a hey look a band on the beacher or two. Speakin a Swami he and them Festoons had’em rollin in the hay.
That brings me to the part that must be said. The numerous THANK YOUs and words of gratitude. Robert and a few others for the fire. Don, Sharman and folks at Homestead for the artwork on the t-shirts and the cook-off awards, (does this make the winner the cock of the crock?)To the contestants for their fine contributions. To Wright, Rick, Lee, Perry, Mark and Dan for every thing under the sun and lights. To Janice, Anne and Judy for taking care of the registration. To Swami and the rest of the Festoons for the rehearsal time they put in, and to the Wakulla Co. Parks and Recreation team,and the half dozen or so I’ve forgotten. Most importantly Thank You Mom for dancing with me, Even if you were disguised as da Rasta Mom.
