Helping the Swami Create (break?) Wind!

Your ever forward-thinking leadership decided that we should leave the music to the SPSC band, leave the spiritual endeavors to the Swami, but add some spice to the repast. The 2006 Wind Ceremony will incorporate a Chili Cook-off, that should benefit the annual celebration in three ways; First, everybody always enjoys competition; Second, chili makes a good meal on what is usually a cold evening; and last, but not least, generating wind is the purpose of this celebration.

We encourage everyone who would like to prepare and present his or her favorite chili recipe to contact Lee (212-7753), or Leah Chapin (894-6902 or chapin_l@msn.com) to sign up. The Chapins will be rounding up the support items for the Chili Cook-off; gas cookers to reheat your chili, cookpots (if you need them), and accompaniments (rice, Rolaids, etc.). The last arrangement to be provided is judges, yes there will be rewards for a performance well-met, besides providing a delicious evening meal before our beloved band begins the evening celebration of the wind.

If your talents do not include chili cooking, then we are encouraging you to bring salad, desert, cornbread, or garlic rolls (let's stick to the chili theme!) Festoon's!
