Did you go to the Smith? If you didn’t, you missed out on a good’n. There was some spantaculous racing for the wind surfers for sure, once the rain stopped. Perry and John set a great course and Joe Quimby ran as good a race as anyone could have. I think he should be nominated Official Club Race Captain. Thank You guys for your help. The thing that strikes me the most about that event is the team work that goes into that event. We Work so well together to make it a premier regatta. To all that worked and to all that played and to those of us that did both, my hat is off to you. The wind has been honkin’ lately at the beach. Even on the weekends - can you believe it? I’ve been seein’ some awful snobby folks goin’ after some of that 17+ wind. I think the Swami must’ve tuned up the old drum stick wand! So if you’re off from the grind you should check it out - now’s the time. There is a lot going on in this here club and it doesn’t happen by itself you know. We got ourselves one fine lessons coordinator in our own Joan Aguilo. We going to have to give lessons now. So we need teachers and assistants to the teachers in some cases so let Joan know you want to help and have a time frame when you can. That ain’t all - we have the Rum and Root beer coming up in August Deb and Amy said they would put that together, I’ve heard some of what they have planned and it sounds like a hoot. They too could use some help. So what’s left you ask? Plenty we will be having an Endless Summer, a Christmas party and a N.I.M.B.Y. to go. Let’s all pull these things off together. It’s a whole lot better if we do. Just ask what you can do to help. Ok now for the Agenda for May 9th 2006

Here it is May already. We’ve gone to the Keys, had a killer Wind Ceremony, And now the Steven C. Smith Regatta is already behind us. The next scheduled event is the N.I.M.B.Y. the weekend of June 23rd in Panama City. I know I’m going cause I already have a room reserved. In fact it’s the very same room I had last time we were there. The N.I.M.B.Y. is one of my favorites because usually it’s a place I’ve never been.
